The cheapest moonphase

If you’re looking for a moonphase on a budget, it won’t get more budgety than this. Say hello to the Casio MTP-M300L-1AV. The cheapest (that I have been able to find) moonphase watch on the market.

The watch comes in of two dial variants. As you see, this is the black one.

In some very fascinating way, Casio has managed to be considered God-tier while mainly producing super cheap watches, many of which cost less than 100 dollars. To most, the G-Shock range is probably what springs to mind. And believe me, I have had a lot of them! Still, I believe that the MTP range is the most exciting proposition for someone looking for a dirt cheap timepiece to add to their collection.

And that is where the Casio Moonphase comes in. This dressy GADA is a 40mm day/date with the trickiest of tricks up it’s sleeve. A rare complication with close to no actual practical use, the moonphase. Made to tell you what state the moon is in, when it’s daytime or you’re just not interested in looking outside.

At the moment, you can find this one for around 100 dollars. These Casios tend to be a bit difficult to get your hands on in the beginning, but it’ll only get more availiable and cheap as time goes on.

Useless, but incredibly cool, and I can’t wait to show you lots more of this watch when I get one in for review shortly. Follow along right here, and on Instagram to see much more Casio Moonphase content.

And this is the white dial.
