EARHART

Hand assembled in Portugal

Who’s Earhart?

Earhart Watches is a Portuguese brand which currently offers two (with two more coming shortly) base watch models. The Lusitannia and the Santa Cruz, both offering a recognizable look with a little bit of something else.

The brand was funded during the midst of the Corona pandemic, when a watch interested pilot suddenly found some time to follow his passion. Inspired by the affordable, yet good-looking and fascinating Seiko 5 series, he began building watches for himself. Sourcing parts from abroad and assembling them in Portugal. When friends and family suggested for him to start selling his creations, he happily obliged.

And this leads us to today. Earhart has released two models, while a two more are on their way.

Made to order

One thing that seperates Earhart from its competition, is the fact that the watches are not assembled before someone actually purchases one. While this doesn’t necessarily make the watch any better, it’s definitely a cool fun-fact to present to your watch-loving friends.

Lusitannia

As I have been fortunate enough to be sent a Lusitannia in for review, that’s the model I will focus on. You and I both know what this timepiece looks like. It is clearly modeled after one of the all time greatest watch designs. While I’m generally somewhat hesitant towards homages, the Lusitannia hits different. At least the three non-black dial variants. As you might have noticed, I went for the yellow dial, in my opinion, a very clever pairing for this style of watch. A splash of color for a nice, contrasting look in your collection.
