ORLO Bowen

ORLO comes from vibrant and beautiful Denmark. That is reflected in these vintage inspired timepieces that you should not miss out on. Keep reading to see how well their Bowen model stacks up aginst the competition.

DESIGN
The Bowen looks fantastic. It closely follows the ORLO design language of combining a very clear vintage inspiration, with the wearability and modern practicality of present times. I particularly enjoy the brushed case, with the polished ring around the crystal. The dial is unlike anything I have seen before, and offers a striking and legible time read-out.

MOVEMENT
The Bowen is powered by a Miyota quartz movement. It’s exactly what you would expect in this type of timepiece in this price range.

BUILD QUALITY
No complaints. The watch feels sturdy, and I have no worries that it will keep ticking for years to come. In a dream world, it would come with sapphire crystal and more water resistance.

STRAP
The brown rally style leather strap looks fantastic and offers all the wearability one would expect in this segment. It’s quite short, though. That shouldn’t be an issue to most, but keep it in mind if you have big wrists. There are two holes availiable when it’s on my 19cm wrist.

X-FACTOR
There are lots of alternatives in this sub 150 dollar price range. You have your pick in Casios, Seiko 5s and AliExpress watches. Still, I think this Danish offering is unique and cool enough to stand out from the crowd. The shopping experience will also far outdo what you expect from the alternatives, with awesome personal service and a brand owner who’s both passionate and a properly cool guy.

CONCLUSION
What are you waiting for? The Bowen is availiable in several different colors, and three different sizes. You’ll probably find one that fits you perfectly.
